Since the last recruiting round-up we posted there has been a lot of changes to some recruitments, some new offers, and some commitments. Here’s the most recent changes in some prospects recruitments:
Jahquez Robinson, CB, Sandalwood:
The highly touted CB committed to the Crimson Tide earlier this week but he still plans on taking visits and says his recruitment is still open. Robinson enjoyed his time in Tuscaloosa and got to talk to coach Saban along with his position coach and Alabama’s strength and conditioning coach. Jahquez has the size and athleticism that Alabama loves in their DB prospects.
Kyjuan Herndon, RB, Sandalwood:
Kyjuan is an elite RB prospect out of Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville. Personally, I think he’s one of the elite RBs coming out of Florida. Herndon recently took a visit to Blacksburg and seem to really enjoy it. “It was fantastic, everything went well” Herndon said. He got to sit in with Coach Justin Fuente and have a talk with him. The speedy RB has also received an offer from SEC program Ole Miss. The Rebels love speed and he fits what they want in their backs. He also received an offer from FAU, as his game is very similar to former standout FAU back and current NFL prospect Devin Singletary. His recruitment is going to be one to keep an eye on as he is starting to heat up on programs boards.
Tyree Saunders, WR, First Coast:
Tyree is just coming off an unofficial visit to Florida International, a visit in which he enjoyed. He told me that he got to talk to his position coach, offensive coordinator and head coach and got to meet with the other offensive coaches. As of right now he says Troy and FIU are his top two schools but this is not set in stone, as he wants to visits some of the other schools that have offered him before spring football starts. He’s still kind of feeling out the whole process. A team to look out for that hasn’t offered yet but seems to becoming soon is UConn. Tyree says that UConn really loves his speed for the deep routes and screens to make something happen with the ball. They like his speed and his athleticism to go over defenders for jump balls. The electrifying WR will compete in the Nike Opening on Sunday and put his talents on display.
Treyvon Hobbs, DB, Raines:
Treyvon Hobbs’ recruitment has recently kind of taken off as he’s earned offers from South Alabama and UCF in the last two days. We knew that it would only be a matter of time until teams started to get in on the talented safety’s recruitment. South Alabama wants him to come to their Junior Day and to see the new field they’re building for the 2020 season. UCF also wants Treyvon to visit on February 28th. This recruitment is going to be one to keep your eyes on.
Ralph Mency, EDGE, Lee:
As I mentioned before Ralph is a standout player on both sides of the ball. However, most teams are recruiting him as an edge rusher/ linebacker and that is what I think he translate as at the next level. He has the ability to play in space and in coverage, along with being a pass rusher. His film stands out because of how easy he makes it looks he’s already a very polished and fluid EDGE prospect. He’s a kid that can blow up any minute because good pass rushers are hard to come by and Ralph is a good pass rusher. Ralph mentioned to me that UConn is the current favorite in his recruitment, right now. He also says Wake Forest is recruiting him the hardest. He’s planning to visit UCF at the end of February and Wake Forest in March, he also plans on making it up to Liberty in late March.
Javonte Kiney, WR, Sandalwood:
Kinsey was recently offered by Florida Atlantic. Coach Kiffin loves the big body WRs and he loves speed. Kinsey brings both of those to the table, as the 6’5 wideout has been clocked at a 4.5 so you can see why teams love him. As far as I know there hasn’t been any notable changes in his recruitment.
Keyshawn Greene, LB, Wakulla:
Keyshawn Greene is 6’3 215lb, ILB who is committed to FSU. His length and athleticism is very similar to former FSU great and current Jaguar stand-out LB Telvin Smith. Keyshawn is a long time FSU commit but that’s not stopping other teams from trying to waiver his commitment. Greene is hearing from two big time SEC programs in Tennessee and Florida along with UCF. However, that’s not wavering his commitment as he tells me that he is still 100% solid to FSU. It will be a battle until the end for this talented LB.
Derek Bermudez, DB, Sandalwood:
Bermudez is another standout from Sandalwood High in Jacksonville, Florida. He also may be one of the most versatile DB’s in the nation. Bermudez’s recruitment has really blown up since the last article as he has earned offers from: Miami, Florida, Oklahoma, Oregon, LSU, Ole Miss, and Virginia Tech among others. Derek says that Oklahoma, LSU, Oregon, Georgia Tech, Florida, and Miami are all teams that have been recruiting him pretty hard. He plans on visiting Oklahoma, Oregon, LSU and Ole Miss.
