Quentin Stepheny is a 6’1,185lb OLB/SS hybrid out of Lafayette-Jefferson HS in Lafayette, Indiana. The first thing that stands out on Stepheny’s film is that he’s the best player on the field. Mainly playing the strong safety spot, he portrays tremendous football IQ able to diagnose plays with quickness, often leading to game changing plays. He’s a kid with a knack for the ball whether it’s forcing a fumble or snagging an interception, he just seemingly knows how to make plays. You can also move him inside and he will shine at the linebacker spot as he hits with force and is a very sure run stopper. With the hybrid role growing in college football ( think FSU’s Jaiden Woodbey and Miami’s Romeo Finley) it’s only a matter of time until teams starting heating up in Stepheny’s recruitment.
Stepheny currently holds an offer from Olivet Nazarene University.
He will also have a chance to compete at the nation’s biggest recruiting combine at the Nike Opening. Here will have a chance to put his skills on display for multiple scouts and recruiting outlets. This will be Stepheny’s chance to blow up on the recruiting scene, as multiple kids have done at this camp before.
