It was a big recruiting weekend as many universities held their Junior Day’s. Multiple kids around the first coast attended many different campuses for their interested schools Junior Days. I caught up with some prospects and here’s what they had to say:
Treyvon Hobbs, 2020 Safety: Treyvon Hobbs is a safety out of Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida. He visited Troy this past weekend and said that he had a great visit. ” Had a great time I love the campus and I love the coaches they treat you like family” Hobbs said of the Trojans. He currently holds offers from Southern Miss and Troy. I expect his recruitment to gain more attention as the evaluation period comes for 2020. Troy has done a good job building a relationship with this talented safety.
Tyree Saunders, 2020 Wideout: The Wide-Receiver from First Coast High School also attended Troy University over the weekend and he too had a great visit. “It was a great experience, I got to meet the coaches, the WR coach and just be around the facilities. I also had a one-on-one with head coach Chip Lindsey” said Saunders.
Once again, Troy is doing a good job of evaluating and identifying some of the talent in Jacksonville. Saunders and Hobbs are both very talented and electrifying players who can make a difference for a team at the next level.
Kyjuan Herndon, 2020 ATH: Herndon is a prospect that I’ve been high on for a while and his recruitment is starting to get a lot of attention. The electrifying back has recently gained multiple offers from Virginia Tech, Colorado State, UConn, Southern Miss, and Ohio among others. Herndon will visit Virginia Tech on the 9th and has other visits in the works.
Kobe Baynes, 2020 OG: Kobe Baynes is a big time guard out of Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Florida. Baynes attended FSU’s junior day over the weekend. In which he said went pretty good. Baynes also plans on attending UCF on the 16th and possibly Ole Miss.
Kejon Owens, 2020 RB: Is a talented back out of powerhouse Miami Central. He attended the Hurricane’s Junior Day over the weekend. Owens said that the visit was good and that he learned some things from RB coach Eric Hickson. Owens said that as of right now he doesn’t know if he’s attend any other junior days.
Javonte Kinsey, 2020 WR: Kinsey is another big time player from Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Florida. Over the weekend he attended FIU’s junior day. ‘It was great, from the moment I arrived I was treated like family” Kinsey said. The talented wideout currently holds offers from: Troy, FIU, Colorado State, Cincinnati, UCONN, Southern Miss and Bowling Green. Kinsey also plans on attending Georgia Tech’s junior day on February 16.
Keyshawn Green, 2020 LB: Green is a very talented linebacker from Wakulla, Florida. He is a current FSU commit and was on campus for FSU’s Junior Day. “It went great, I had a great time talking with the coaching staff” said Green. Keyshawn is considered a solid FSU commit but he will be attending some other junior days, to schools yet to be determined.
Caziah Holmes, 2020 ATH: Caziah Holmes is another talented athlete from Cocoa, Florida. He too was on FSU’s campus for Junior Day. “It went great” Caziah said. He told me the Seminoles are recruiting him as a running back and the coaching staff is selling him on FSU’s new offense under OC Kendall Briles.
Jahquez Robinson, 2020 DB: Jahquez Robinson is a DB out of Sandalwood who’s recruitment has blown up. The talented cornerback was recently at Georgia and this last weekened, Jahquez was at both Florida and Miami’s Junior day.
“Both went great, just getting used to the new coaches” Robinson said.
Derek Bermudez, 2020 DB: Derek Bermudez is another talented CB out of Sandalwood. Bermudez was also in Coral Gables for Miami’s Junior Day.
“It was a great visit, I enjoyed talking to the coaches and hanging with the players. The atmosphere was great and it’s definitely one of my top schools.” Bermudez said. His recruitment is going to be one to keep an eye on, this kid has major potential to be a star at the next level.
