4 Star LB and Auburn native Mohamoud Diabate chooses the Gators over the Crimson Tide, Aggies, and others.
Florida adds another big name commit to its class with LB Mohamoud Diabate. As stated before Mullen and his staff hosted a substantial amount of talent at their FNL, and Diabate was one of many. With Alabama, Auburn, and Texas A&M in the mix the Gators definitely made Diabate a top priority. With Diabate committing it makes three commits in the month of August.
On the field: Mohamoud Diabate is ranked as the 4th best OLB (on 247sports.com) in the nation and his play shows every bit of that. At 6-3.5, 211 pounds is freakishly athletic for his size. Diabate has the ability to cause havoc to an opposing offensive line from a pass rusher position. Lining up with his hands in the ground or a stand-up position, Diabate plays with an intense motor and can make plays all over the field.
Overall feel: With Already having 4 star LBs Diwun Black, and Tyron Hopper committed, Florida’s young LB core is shaping up very nicely. Diabate fits perfectly into Grantham’s 3-4 scheme. Diabate will have to compete for playing time with his position being pretty crowded, however being a top-rated defense in the SEC you can never have too many pass rushers.
